The Largest U.S. Foot and Ankle Fellows, Residents and Young Surgeons’ Course to hold its second annual course in Denver, CO.
San Diego, CA – February 13, 2019 – Lower Extremity Fellows, Residents and Young Surgeons from leading US Orthopaedic and Podiatric Surgery Centers and Hospitals will attend the 2nd annual Lower Extremity IEP Fellows & Young Surgeons' Course, to be held in Denver, CO., May 3 - 5, 2019.
The three-day course has been specifically developed to educate attendees on current topics pertaining to the practice of foot and ankle surgery. The course will also assist with the transition into both academic and private practice. The course draws the industry's most prestigious faculty and is directed by Gregory C. Pomeroy, MD, Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of New England. Dr. Pomeroy also serves as the Director of the Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery, St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Portland, Maine.
“This is the premier course in the US that combines leading senior surgeons with young surgeons in practice, Fellows in foot and ankle, and senior residents who are planning to enter foot and ankle” Dr. Pomeroy said.” Last year we had 50 attendees and this year we anticipate 50 or more,” Pomeroy added.
The 2019 course will begin with industry hosted cadaver labs. “We have incorporated these labs based on feedback from last year’s attendees” said Donald R. Bohay, MD, FACS, Professor Orthopaedic Surgery, Michigan State University, and IEP Program Co- Chair, “This further seals our course as the leading program for Fellows, Residents and Young Surgeons within the field of Lower Extremity, ”said Dr. Bohay.
Attendees will also participate in industry sessions presented by the course sponsors. Attendees will rotate through the exhibit hall in small groups, meeting and interacting with each course sponsor. Course Completion Certificates will be handed out upon conclusion of the course.
The course will be hosted at the History Colorado Center and is exclusive to foot and ankle fellows, final year residents, and young surgeons within their first three years of practice.
